In a way, I was born from a machine. Growing up in my parents' arcade game business (yes, that's me in the photo, tucked inside a claw machine!), I was the kid with infinite tokens, surrounded by flashing screens, pixel art, and the ones and zeros of the first video games. That early curiosity shaped how I view technology today: not as a replacement for human connection, but as a playground for it.

30+ years after, I still believe that new media—and the way we engineer its language—is the true engine of powerful design.
