GALAXIA 2000
galaxia2000.com is a bilingual platform and physical zine founded in 2019 to promote the interrelation between Art and Technology through discourse in English and Spanish. Our mission is to build sustainable artists networks and to foster and produce global content about A+T.
WHY BILINGUAL
There is a lot of content in English about innovation and new techs, and we felt that promoting those topics for Spanish speakers was a small act of justice.
Plus, Spanish speakers don't always promote their projects in English, and by supporting them with an English translation we could help them have more possibilities to be found online and expand their network.
Another benefit that we didn't imagine is that for emerging creatives is fruitful to reflect on their practice as an intellectual exercise, and tangibly speaking these interviews are an addition to their portfolios when applying for visas, sponsorships, and grants.
